北京旋律死亡金属乐队炼狱自2002年成军以来活跃于中国地下金属界，撕裂咆哮的女声死亡金属一直以来是他们标志的音乐特征。在不断对旋律与极限金属乐两种不同风格的不懈探索中，乐队作品逐渐向以瑞典哥德堡之声风格为代表的旋律死亡金属方向靠拢。2016年乐队经历重组后加入女性小提琴手，2018年发布网络专辑“王者归来”并在旋律性的死亡金属风格表现下呈现出丰富并拥有攻击性的金属乐风。在多年来成员更迭后，乐队于2023年以全新阵容带来更具有现代感官与律动性的作品“星际旅行”，将幻想题材与电音元素融合为新的重音体验递进炼狱的风格演化。乐队两位女性成员以死嗓与清唱交相辉映于动感十足的现场舞台，为中国极端金属界增添无限魅力的女性极端金属强团。
